Plaster Masks
We worked for several weeks on these plaster strip masks before the holiday break. They were formed over a face mask, and then built out with paper and plaster to become the students' chosen animals.
After the masks dried over the break, students returned, ready to to add paint and other details to make their masks look more realistic and interesting.
They worked so hard on these and really had a good time. When I asked if should teach this again in Elective class, the answer was a resounding "YES!" Please scroll down and take a look at how each mask evolved over several weeks of hard work.
