Joan Miro
Students learned about the childlike drawings of French painter Joan Miro, who used various shapes and symbols through out his life time. The students had fun with the idea of repeating symbols and shapes. They were given dice, and game board to decide which shapes to use in their composition. all of the final results were different, but it was a fun way to make a picture, and the kids had a good time. The colors and shapes are playful and very "Miro-esque".
