Ink Blot Monsters
4th and 5th graders started with a puddle of black ink and a straw. They blew the ink around until they had an interesting shape on the paper in front of them. The following week, when the ink had dried, they were told to look at their ink blots, and imagine them as monsters. They added details and eyes, and lots of fun designs. What they ended up with was a little more silly than scary, but very fun to make. Some of the students even named their monsters!
