Currier and Ives
FAME for the month of November focused on the lithograph prints of Currier and Ives. After discovering how lithographs were made (and looking at the art work that featured a country blacksmith) Students learned the complicated steps in making a lithograph. When they returned to the art room, they were able to make prints of their own using styrofoam, brayers and printers ink. The work they created was so good, I decided to make holiday cards from them. Parents are invited to order the finished products. What a wonderful fundraiser for the school!
