M.C. Escher
M.C. Escher was a Dutch graphic artist. He enjoyed playing with positive and negative space, as well as symmetry. He was fascinated with the idea of infinity, and objects morphing into other objects. Some of his best known works are called "Tesselations". We created our own tesselations in class, and with a few details, we brought to life a symmetrical pattern playing with perception and perspective. The students enjoyed trying to figure out just what their tesselation actually was.
