Weaving with the leftovers
It's the end of the year, and boy, have we got scraps! We have paper from Matisse Cutouts, and patterned paper from quilts. We have yarn from weaving, and material from our Day of the Dead Skeletons, big pieces of paper left over from our Jackson Pollock painting, and of course, we have lots and lots and lots of magazine strips from our mehndi hand quillwork. What do we do with all those scraps? Use them!
After creating a loom from black construction paper, students were instructed to make a weaving using all of the elements we had on hand. What they created could have been woven into a gorgeous quilt. So pretty.
