Welcome to Ms. Campbell's Art Class
2009 - 2010 is sure to be a wonderful year at Sunol Glen. This year I am teaching the 4-8th grade. We have been having a lot of fun. I teach art appreciation to a different grade every day, and then I teach my art elective class at the end of the day, for 6-8th graders.
In art appreciation class, we learn about different artists and their styles. We also learn about art from cultures around the world. Art appreciation class also ties into the FAME experience (Fine Art Mini Experience) that we teach here each month. And we follow up on the art and music lessons with some hands on art in class.
In my Art Elective class, I am teaching the students about different elements in art, and we are learning about these elements while using all different types of media. Some examples are pens, markers, paint, oil and chalk pastels, collage, clay and plaster. We only have one trimester to learn all of this, so we need to fit a lot in to each class. My students seem happy to oblige!
